Missions

About the Missions Program

"Gives thanks to the Lord, call on His name; make known among the nations what He has done, and proclaim that His name is exalted."  Isaiah 12:14

The Missions Council administers the missions program, including management of funds budgeted and/or designated for missions. We generously support over 32 missionaries and mission organizations at this time! We welcome new and experienced council members to further his plan locally, nationally and globally with us. This is guided by our core values and includes:

  • Activities which stimulate support of mission causes based on prayer.
  • Promotion of opportunities for members of the congregation to participate in mission projects, including deputation trips and local volunteering.

Loving God:  Participating in "God's passion to be known and praised by all the peoples of the earth" through our on-going relationship with the people of Mali.

  • Involving the congregation in funding a well.
  • Facilitating Mali 2010 team

Loving People:  We will continue to nurture "relationships and partnerships" which allow people to grow in their faith and to experience love and concern for one another.

  • Developing leadership of young people through the Youth Mission Intern program.
  • Encouraging and facilitating deputation team to Albania.
  • Prayer support for missionaries and mission activities with monthly corporate prayer meeting.
  • Creating awareness of God's work in the world through facilitating the Perspectives Course.

Serving the World:  We will continue our relationships with:

  • Missionaries or missions in Benin, Malaysia, Estonia, Burna, Albania, Costa Rica, India, China, France, Haiti, Japan, and Scotland.
  • Outreach activities nationally in Utah, Arizona, Washington D.C., and California.
  • Local support for Alpha, Child Evangelism Fellowship, Manna, and ESL.

Meetings are Open to All!

  • Business meetings are held the second Thursday of the month at 6:30 pm in West Side North.
  • Prayer meetings are held the fourth Thursday of the month at 6:30 pm in West Side North.
