West Side Preschool offers classes for children 2-5 years of age. We have been serving the Tri-Cities for almost 50 years. We are currently in the process of reaccreditation through the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Our staff is comprised of professionally trained teachers who have specialized in working with and caring for young children and their families. Our developmentally-appropriate and activity-based curriculum emphasizes the social, intellectual, emotional, and physical growth of each child in a positive and nurturing environment. Our goal is to provide a place where children learn at their own pace to be independent, and make decisions and feel confident about themselves, to interact in a positive manner with others, and to love learning. West Side Preschool is a Co-operative Preschool. Family members participate in the classroom approximately once a month on a scheduled basis that seeks to take into consideration individual family situations. Fall 2012 Registration: Registration for the 2012-2013 school year will begin on Monday, February 27, for families currently enrolled in the preschool program and/or families with children presently involved at West Side Church. Registration begins at 9:00 am in the WS North Fellowship Hall. Doors to the preschool will open at 7:00 am. You may pick up a number at that time and return at 9:00 am to complete registration. Children who turn 2, 3, or 4 on or before August 31, 2012, are eligible to enroll. Morning Pre-K classes usually fill quickly. Public registration will begin the following Monday, March 5, at 9:00 am. Questions – contact the Preschool Office (509.946.4656). Registration continues until classes are filled, with a nonrefundable registration fee per child. School begins during the week of Labor Day in September and continues through the end of May..
